One year after Gaza war, residents still struggling to survive

On July 8, 2014, Israel launched Operation Protective Edge in the Gaza strip. The war lasted 50 days, left 2,500 dead, thousands injured and hundreds of thousands homeless. Weeks of bombing left a field of ruins. Buildings that weren’t reduced to dust were left on the verge of collapse. Today, inside Gaza, people are still scrabbling to survive. FRANCE 24’s Gallagher Fenwick looks back at a war with no victors, but in which the greatest losers were the people of Gaza.
