“Breathe Paris in. It nourishes the soul.”
– Victor Hugo

“My 90-year-old mother and I spent a wonderful week in Paris in May of 2024. My mother uses a walker and requires various accommodations. From touchdown to departure, Paris for Seniors helped make our trip wonderful.

The recommended hotel was perfect and charming, the transportation services friendly and efficient and all information about accessibility at museums and other attractions very helpful. Let Paris for Seniors be your planning partner in Paris!”

At the Musée d’Orsay

The very special moment for brother Tom was on Sunday when we attended Ste. Sulpice church. Not only did we hear the organ play, but were invited to come back in the evening by the organ master to join her for the evening mass up in the organ loft. To get there, one needs to go up a very narrow spiral staircase with 67 steps. Brother Tom, even with his difficulty in walking, made it up in two stages. A 60 year wish fulfilled. We had to miss the organ playing at Ste. Eustache, but Fred took us there during the week to see the inside. On Wednesday night our cousin invited us to her place for an incredible dinner.

"Brothers Trip!"

Thank you. Genevieve, for sending Marie as my tour guide. She is phenomenal! I will forever hold you, Marie, in my memory. I think of you as an international friend, the world benefits from your presence on this earth. All good wishes.

We had a terrific time in Paris. Marie really made the entire trip wonderful. I think her experience with her 3 year old made her the perfect companion for the Mamans – “Do we have to get out here?”. Hahaha!

Honestly, it was amazing to have the car service arranged ahead of time and our own personal guide to show us the highlights of Paris. We arrived home on Tuesday, and the ladies are still talking about how lovely it was.

Genevieve and her – truly wonderful! –  guide Grace, curated the most perfect experience for my 83 year old mother this spring.

Grace created the perfect itinerary, providing a rich, immersive experience that mum will never forget. Grace went above and beyond in the care, companionship and true investment she demonstrated with mum. Grace even returned one evening – through her own free will! –  to chaperone mum safely back from the Musee d’Orsay to her hotel. She truly was mum’s guardian angel!

The occasion of my mother’s 75th, my nephew’s 16th and my son’s 13th birthdays all in the same year demanded a special celebration and Paris for Seniors was a crucial part of making for a wonderful and memorable trip.  A previous trip to New York for my mother’s 70th birthday had shown how frustrating it could be for her to navigate a city with bad knees and low stamina, so we were very focused on addressing mobility issues and having an enjoyable journey.

Genevieve has personal experience and professional contacts that, combined, allowed us to see the sights of Paris without exhausting my mother or leaving her out of the fun.  One of the highlights of the trip was our time with Florent, our lovely and knowledgeable tour guide, and the luxurious transportation for our party of 8 that was always right around the corner to reduce the walking for my mother.

It was a trip of a lifetime and we are grateful for the guidance from Paris for Seniors!

My favorite moment was standing by Ashlan in front of the 6’ foot sculpture of THE THINKER in the Rodin sculpture garden. She had never seen him before, and as we stood there in silence, I thought—She will remember this moment long after I am dead, and I will remember it for the rest of my life!

Another treat was at the Victor Hugo museum. I saw the original, carved cover of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I must have taught that book 50 times.

Well, you don’t have time for me to tell you all about the trip. But I have it recorded now, so I can always go back and jog my memory as the years go on. It was truly a trip of a lifetime.

With a very short window of time in which to coordinate an acceptable itinerary, Genevieve arranged three days of customized tours, which included private transportation and a personal tour guide named James. The daily tours were coordinated with my mother and aunt’s mobility and energy levels in mind, while also allowing input on key sites and experiences, so that their “vacation of  lifetime” would be everything they desired. And, as an added bonus, James and his wife (Mieke) hosted my mother, aunt and myself on our last evening in Paris. They took us to an authentic, non-tourist restaurant where we were able to fully experience a maginificent Paris evening.

I loved working with Genvieve and the Paris for Seniors crew. There were so many options and ways to customize specifically for my mom’s interests and needs. My mom has mobility issues, so we arranged private pick-up and drop off at the airport, which took so much stress out of travel. We also arranged a private tour of the city with a driver and a guide, Marie. Marie was amazing. She took my mom to see all of the churches she wanted to see and gave us a lot of great historical information about them. She also helped me get my Olympics souvenirs because she knew of one of the official pop-up shops on the way to Sacre Coeur. Marie went above and beyond because I only asked her if she knew where to get these souvenirs and she just made it part of our tour, which saved me so much time and effort.

What a wonderful,  capable daughter you have. She has shown me so many beautiful sites here in Paris. I would have never had the chance to get to these magnificent places that we saw today. Grace is so  Knowledgeable about the history of so many places here like Sainte-Chapelle, St Eustache,  Notre Dame  all sorts of monuments. Delightful little places for coffee & lunch, the amazing little book shop,  perfumery, chocolate shops & so much more.

Her love for Paris, her grandparents &  parents shines through many of the places, memories & nostalgia that she showed & shared with me. I will always remember this day, Grace has so much to offer & will go far.  Her grandfather would be incredibly proud of her. I’m so happy I found Paris for seniors, thank you so very much.

I asked Genevieve to help me plan the perfect three day trip to Paris for my parent’s first-ever trip to Europe. I am very grateful to say that she did not disappoint. She arranged a flawless airport pick up and drop off, as well as a fantastic 4-hour tour with France Luxury Cab. My parents were thrilled and the whole process made the trip a great success (and made my life a lot easier and less stressful!) I would not hesitate to hire Paris for Seniors again for myself (even if I am not yet a senior!)
